Publisher of scientific materials is looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join the team for an initial contract period of 9 months.

Responsible for producing documentation to support a suite of web applications, you will also proofread, edit, format and incorporate copy prepared by others. After creating the master documents you will, when required, generate context-sensitive documentation to suit diverse purposes including procedures, training presentations, operational instructions and project proposals. You will also take control of the document review procedure, implementing a regular, cyclical system by which documentation is evaluated and version controlled.
The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and managing documentation for online applications, a high level of Word and Powerpoint expertise, and an understanding of XML usage. You will have excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a non-specialist audience. With a demonstrated capacity to oversee projects and take ownership of ongoing production cycles, you will have strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate with diverse teams across the company.
