The PQO China Content Service Team delivers Knowledge Base articles for customers and partners worldwide to help them resolve problems when using Microsoft products. It’s looking for a skilled technical writer to write content for Microsoft developer products such as Visual Studio, .Net Framework, ASP.Net etc.

Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio products is a definite plus.

Responsibility:

• Own and drive world-class content for Microsoft Developer Products such as Visual Studio, .Net Framework, ASP.Net, Web Service etc. * Understand and apply policies and writing standards governing style and presentation of content to maximize accuracy, clarity, quality, consistency, and search engine visibility, while maintaining ease of localization and machine translation.
• Perform in-depth research and write Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) articles based on the technical information provided in Content Maintenance bugs under supervision. Respond to editorial and reviewer feedback.
• Communicate with Subject Mattered Experts (SME) to ensure KB articles are technically accurate and clearly understandable.
• Work in conjunction with others in product development, product support, and content development to deliver high-value content within targeted SLA goal.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Software Engineering or related field is required.
• 2-3 years related work experience is required.
• Proven written communication skills in English and strong oral English skills. CET-6 certification is required.
• Solid understanding of basic computer science concepts is required. In-depth technical knowledge in Microsoft Developer products or other Developer products is preferred.
• Proven communication, problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
• Ability to target communications appropriately for the audience. Communicate the writer’s point across clearly, concisely and quickly. Explain complicated information in a way that is easy to understand.
• Aptitude for learning new tools, technologies, and processes quickly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management skill and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
