Senior Technical Writer

Act as project prime to plan the approach for new projects, monitor the schedule, develop and test the required technical publications, and conduct documentation reviews. Raises risks to manager, including issues that arise and schedule changes.
Qualifications:

* Undergraduate degree in Rhetorical and Professional Writing, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years experience performing the typical duties outlined above.

Experience:

* Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker, RoboHelp, Adobe Acrobat. Experience with XML and structured FrameMaker is an asset.
* Experience documenting both hardware and software products.
* Ability to adapt writing skills based on target audience.
* Ability to break down complex information and present it in a simple and clear manner, with target audience in mind.
* Ability to design documentation from the ground up, ensuring logical layout and organization.
* Skill in collecting, analyzing, communicating, and verifying information. Includes interviewing developers, product validation team, customer service personnel, product managers, and Marketing specialists.
