Screencast.com, the website used by technical writers, information developers and software developers to share Jing captures and recordings, will be temporarily inaccessible from Sat. May 30 2009, starting at 12:30 EDT. This is a minor service upgrade including database improvements and server updates.
Techsmith have scheduled this for an upgrade. The site will be restored as quickly as possible.
How do I create a Screencast Account
Screencast.com offers a Free account which includes 2 GB storage and 2 GB transfer bandwidth per month. The Pro account cost is $9.95 per month or $99.95 per year.
The Free Account
- Includes 2 GB storage and 2 GB transfer bandwidth per month. Click this link to sign up for a Free account. A valid email address must be used.
- Once you sign up, you are asked to confirm your email address. Once you have confirmed, your account is activated.
- Upload videos and use Screencast.com’s folders and playlists to share your video publicly with anyone or privately with just those you select (either by invitation or password).
The Pro Account
- Includes 25 GB storage and 200 GB transfer bandwidth per month.
- The cost is $9.95 per month or $99.95 per year. Click this link to purchase a Screencast.com Pro account from the TechSmith store.
- Upload videos and use Screencast.com’s folders and playlists to share your video publicly with anyone or privately with just those you select (either by invitation or password).
- Purchase additional transfer bandwidth from your Account Information page. To access the Account Information page, sign in to your account, then click your Display Name link at the top of the Screencast.com page.
- Create a uniquely branded template and assign templates to individual folders. Add your own logo, use your own color scheme, and customize what appears to viewers.
