HP Technical Writer- ChongQing, China

HP is looking for a tech writer to join its team in ChongQing, China.

Duties:

Write, edit and update technical documents
Communicate with WW teams to gather information for creating new documents or updating existing documents
Develop new technical documentation based on functional specifications, hands-on use of the product, and interviews with subject matter experts
Responsible for editorial reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency and usability of the contents
Contribute to the team’s processes and quality standards.
Course designer/developer to convert content to web-based eLearning, WBT, CBT, and online learning material with use of web & graphic design tools.
Investigate business requirement documents
Develop Web-based/Computer-based training (WBT, CBT), online training, eLearning.
FLASH – Expert or high intermediate required
Dreamweaver/HTML – Expert or Intermediate required
Captivate or SnagIT or Camtasia is preferred but not required
Adobe RoboHelp – A great plus
MS Office Suite – Expert Required.
Most importantly good written and spoken English is required
Writing skills to convert content to eLearning
Samples are a huge plus though not required: links or sample of your work demonstrating these skills Bachelor degree or above, Computer Science, MIS or other related fields would be advantageous
Technical writing experience or equivalent experience required, software industry experience is a plus
Excellent English and Chinese written/spoken proficiency.
Knowledge on Acrobat, FrameMaker and Microsoft Office
Able to manage production of multiple documents, projects, and deadlines
Excellent information structuring and good interpersonal and communication skills
