I’ve recently moved all my old Blogger sites (i.e. before I started using Gmail) to my new Blogger account. I had to do this as I wanted to have all the sites under one login and save my self the hassle of logging in and out of Blogger twice. In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to move your old Blogger accounts over to your new Blogger account.

In a nutshell, here’s how it works. You log into the old account and ‘invite’ the new account to become an author on the old blogs. Then, you change the permission settings so that the new Blogger account becomes the administrator.
Here’s how to move old Blogger sites (pre-Gmail) to new Blogger accounts (i.e. with Gmail).
1. Login into the Old Blogger account.
2. In the Dashboard, click Settings for the blog you want to move.
3. On the Settings page, click the Permissions link.

4. Click Add Authors and enter the email address for your NEW blogger account, most likely your Gmail account.

5. Click Invite.
What happened? You sent an invitation to yourself at your new Blogger’s email address.
6. Check your email, click on the Invitation link.

7. Sign-in using the New Blogger username and password. Open the New Blogger Dashboard.
Note: your Dashboard will display the ‘new’ Blog, but your ‘Manage’ options will be limited to “Posts, Settings” links. In others words, you can post, but you can’t change the template or layout.
Why? Because, you’re not the Administrator. But, in the next step, we’re going to make you the Administrator.
6. Sign out of the New Blogger account.

7. Sign in to the Old Blogger account.
8. Click on the Settings link (again) for the Blog you want to move.
9. Click on the Permissions link. This will show a new author (i.e. name and email address of New Blogger account).
10. Click on Grant Admin Privileges next to the Author.

When the page refreshes, both the original Old Blogger Author and the New Blogger Author should have “admin” links (as well as “remove” links to the far right).
You’re now going to remove yourself from the old Blogger account. But, its ok as you’re already setup in the new Blogger account.
11. Click the Remove link for the Old Blogger Author. Your screen will refresh and go to the Dashboard. You’re Blog is now gone.

12. Sign Out. You’re finished with the old blog now.
13. Sign In to the New Blogger account
The ‘old’ blog is now displayed in your Dashboard. You have the Manage options of Posts, Settings and Layout links.
