Amazon Associates penalized by Check Payments

Amazon Associates using check to received payments should switch to the Direct Debit as there is now a $15 penalty for getting your payments. by check. This applies to customers in the US mostly as if you are outside the US and cannot setup a direct debit, Amazon may overlook this. But you should check, to be sure. The advantages of using to choosing direct deposit instead of by check are:
  • Minimum payment threshold for direct deposit is only $10, compared to $100 for checks.
  • Amazon deduct a $15 processing fee from all monthly checks sent to Associates, but there is no charge for payment by direct deposit or gift Certificates.
  • Direct deposit payments reach your bank account three to seven days faster than paper checks.

If your billing address is outside the US, and direct deposit is unavailable to you, Amazon will waive the $15 fee.
