What’s the Marketing Manager’s role in Proposal Development?

The Marketing Manager is responsible for preparing and executing the sales plan. This describes how the Proposal Team will contact each area of the client organization associated with the procurement activity.

The Marketing Manager also coordinates competitive analysis sessions, team and strategy meetings.

They are also involved in preparing presentations used to customers, the bidding company’s management team and, when required, the media.

This person presents the marketing strategy to the project sponsors for review and approval.

During the proposal development phase, the Marketing Manager in involved in review sessions, updates the competitive analysis, and acquires customer-specific data for the proposal.
