New features in Adobe RoboHelp 6 that will interest technical writers include:

Conditional Table Of Contents
– apply Conditional Build tags to a book or a specific chapter in the table of contents.

Conditional index – apply Conditional Build tags to a keyword or sub-keyword in the index.

User-defined variables – create variables and drag them to WYSIWYG in order to add them to the content.

Easier WinHelp migration – WinHelp users can move projects to WebHelp and HTML Help to use other enhanced help formats.

Report Generation – RoboHelp 6 offers the following reports which streamline the process of obtaining data: Report on Build Tags; Report on User-defined variables; Report on Missing Topic References.

Command-line compilation – generate help output from the command line without opening the RoboHelp application. You can generate a single source layout, perform batch generation, and publish to Adobe RoboHelp Server by running commands at the command prompt.
