How to embed a TrueType font in Word

You can embed a TrueType font in a Word document so that you can view and edit the font. You can do this even on a computer on which the font is not installed.

To embed a TrueType font in a saved document Microsoft Office Word 2003, follow these steps:

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Save tab.
3. Select the Embed TrueType fonts check box.

To embed a TrueType font in a saved document in Microsoft Office Word 2007, follow these steps:

1. Click the Microsoft Office Button.
2. Click Word Options.
3. On the Save tab, click to select the Embed fonts in the file check box.

Note: Embedded fonts will increase the file size of your document by approximately the size of the TrueType font (.ttf) file.
