Charlotte Sanders writes that the Williamson Public Library is now offering digital audio books accessible 24/7.
Larry Brown, director of the library, said it is joining top-rated libraries like Boston, Denver, New York and Cleveland in offering audio resources to its patrons.
The digital library spans nearly every genre. Patrons can download best-selling novels, well-known classics, self-improvement guides and more.
Library patrons have only to go to http://williamsonlibrary.lib.wv.us, click on the “download free audio books” icon; install the free software; browse the collection, and add titles to a cart,’ Brown explained.
So what’s the catch? Brown says there is none. “Digital downloads are easy to check out and download, and the best part is there are never any late fees because titles are automatically returned at the end of the lending period.”
