How to Add National Geographic Themes to your Google homepage

by Ivan on June 30, 2009

Google has added some nice new themes from National Geographic. Actually, I was surprised at the number of themes that are now available. Note to self – use iGoogle more often!

In case you haven’t use this before, here is how works.

Skip over to Google.com

1. Click the Add Themes link under the search box. Some nice Google interns have put this in red to remind us that this is New!

2. Scroll through the Themes Gallery, select the one you love most of all, and click Get This Theme

Warning – you can never change this theme for the rest of your life! Ever. So, choose carefully…

3. Click See More Nature Themes and then select one.

4. This is what my old page looked like. Imagine seeing this first thing in the morning?

And this is my new one.

5. Click Close to save our theme or Undo to go back and explore.

6. FYI: click Add Stuff to find other cool gadgets that you can add to your Google page.

7. You can also save this as an RSS feed and add it to your site or blog.

PS – If you’ve found this article useful, please consider giving us a Digg or StumbleUpon. By the way, you can change the theme ANYTIME you want.

Regards,

Ivan
