How to add Line Numbers to Word docs

Line numbering makes it easy to refer to specific sections of your document, for example in proposals or academic texts.

To add line numbers to a document:

1. Click File, Page Setup.

2. Click the Line Numbers button.

3. Select the line numbering format. For example, continuous line numbers or restart at the beginning of each page.

4. For advanced options, select Line Numbering Options.
